Two equally great words... but when you put them together, you get twice the awesome. These are the wise words of the director of GH2K. So with that in mind, we invited all the children from the homes over to spend some awesome time together.
Ice cream is not a common treat for our children. First of all, the price of ice cream for 20+ people makes it more of a "special occasion treat". And second, the road conditions have to be optimal to transport the precious cargo without melting. The conditions were just right that day, since we ended up with 2 gallons of ice cream in the perfect estate. With it, we had chocolate and strawberry topping, all kinds of crumbled cookies, cupcakes, marshmallows, caramel and tons of bananas. And we celebrated the "special occasion" of living with some pretty special kids.
That night we got to be pseudo-grandparents; we sugared and wound the kids up just before bed time.
