Today was dia del niño (children's day), the most important holiday in a child's LIFE! ok, maybe we are over exaggerating, but it is a very special day.
Today was all about making these kids feel as special as they are, so we wanted to share a few pictures of the festivities.
AT HOME
First thing in the morning, we left a little gift in the kids' beds for when they return from school
Even Jorgito got his gift in bed
The kids' who don't go to school got their own pinata at home
Kelly giving a good swing at that spiderman
The school age kids got to celebrate their special day at school too
They got fried chicken and pepsi.... the official party food of Honduras
They got to dress up. Here is Yensi looking ADORABLE!
Pinata time
Mayra and Joccelyn playing with the pinata
We divided into stations and played games and awarded prices. Here is ring toss
Gringo Goalie... Corey here had the right idea to protect his internal organs!
BUBBLES!!!
Very orderly line to play a game (almost unheard of in Honduras, so we had to document)
Face paint
Yensi again looking adorable
Twister
Soccer kicks and silly hats
Bowling
Chalk art
Face art.... I actually dared him to go to soccer practice looking like this!
Another orderly line... what?!
Ingris with her third bag of candy for the day
This one cracks me up. Kelly bowling
Such a great day for the kids, and us adults who enjoy spoiling our babies.
