On Saturday we celebrated the birthdays of four very special little ladies, who turn one year older within the same week. In the above picture are the birthday girls. Irlen is now 14, Kelly will be one on Wednesday, Juvana will be three on Tuesday and Dana will be two on Thursday.
With the help of the mothers and a church group who is visiting at the moment, we were able to throw an incredible kids party, to celebrate these four beautiful ladies.
We started with music and games, followed by a dinner of "arroz con pollo", then cake. For desert the kids got to roast marshmallows in a bonfire. And to finish up, "Kate the clown" made an appearance blowing up balloons and face painting.
Kelly and Dana may not be able to remember this celebration, but for Irlen and Juvana, and the rest of the kids, we hope they will store this party in their memory banks for years to come. We hope they all feel secure and loved every day of their lives, but that they will also feel extra special on their special day.
