About Us

We are the Johnsons. Kelvin, Monica and little baby Kelly from Minnesota. We have felt the calling to missions for the first four years of our marriage, but this last year we took the step of following what God's plan was for our lives. We decided to move with our four month old baby to Honduras to mentor under Jason and Sara Furrow, the founders of Give Hope 2 Kids. We find ourselves highly involved with the three priorities of the ministry, which are the children's home, educational outreach, and agricultural development.
Since arriving nearly eight months ago, we have most importantly built relationships with the community and the children living in this orphanage as well as guiding behavior to developing a relationship with God.  We do this with kids church and mentoring children in the community through Library and English class at the local elementary.
We have found that our gift from God has been to be willing to help where ever is needed. We have helped from cooking for 20+ people, to leading the kids church, to help with construction projects.
We hope to share our experiences through this blog, and hopefully to paint a picture of what God could do through those who are willing.
